Avondale Ventures' Industry Advisory Board is comprised of industry leaders with proven track records in the media and communications sectors, current members include: 

Peter Goldstone – has over twenty years of experience in the publishing industry.  Has held senior management positions at Primedia and currently is President of Hanley
Wood, the largest Business to Business magazine publisher focused on the building / construction industry.

Edmond Thomas
is an engineer and partner in the law firm of Harris, Wiltshire and Grannis LLP.  He specializes in advising clients in the areas of telecommunications,
business opportunity analysis and strategic planning.  In his 37-year career, he has held senior positions in R&D, strategic planning, operations, regulatory matters, and
telecommunication network design and implementation.  Mr. Thomas served under FCC Commissioner Michael Powell as the Chief Engineer of the Federal Communications Commission. Prior to joining the Commission, Mr. Thomas served as President and CEO of MMRadiolink, a manufacturer of millimeter wave digital
radio equipment based in the U.K.  He also served as President and CEO of RSL USA, a $500 million dollar international telecommunications company.

Roscoe Smith III
– Roscoe C. Smith  III has over 25 years experience in the information and business-to-business publishing industry.  He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of a Post Capital portfolio company, Agent Media Corporation, a database and marketing services business for the insurance industry.  Previously he was President
of Knowledge Industries Publications, Inc, (“KIPI”), an owner of trade magazines, newsletters, conferences and trade shows.  Mr. Smith became the President of PBI
Media LLC after it acquired KIPI in 1996.  Prior to KIPI, he was the publisher of Architectural Record, a McGraw Hill publication. He was instrumental in repositioning
the company in response to changes in its marketplace and expanding through new product launches and acquisitions. 


Mike Gallagher
– Mike Gallagher is the Chair of DC-based law firm Perkins Coie’s Communications & Government Relations Group.  He has a deep background in
technology and telecommunications policy. Immediately prior to joining the firm in 2006, Mike served as the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications &
Information, where he was the chief telecommunications and Internet policy advisor to the Administration. His responsibilities also included oversight of the radio
frequency spectrum which powers so many of the exciting new market opportunities throughout the technology economy.
